Since six in the morning, employees of the sarcastic organization and management have not been admitted to the Dunaferr steelworks for the pre-announced federal council meeting.
Dunaferr, who was in financial trouble, had previously fired 350 workers and terminated all collective agreements, while refusing to negotiate with unions. Therefore, Vasas and the Hungarian Trade Union Confederation tried to force Ukraine’s chief executive, Yevgeny Tankilevich, to respond to their requests in a lawsuit. But 24.hu also wrote that a group of some high-level employees called Dunaferr’s management was unwilling to cooperate with the unions and the board. The members of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board do not have access to data and information on the operations, financial and economic activities of the company, so they are unaware of the real economic and financial situation of the company, the available resources and the stock of liabilities.
Now Gábor Győri, vice president of the Vasas Trade Union Confederation, informed the newspaper that they could not enter the factory and that because of this people were becoming more and more tense.
In Dunaferr, there are several basic unions of various unions, that is, where there is a large organization, the federal council is the highest decision-making body of the union between two congresses. Officials who are employees of Dunaferr were not admitted to this meeting.
