Construction of the Budapest Athletics Stadium has begun, the project has reached the point of tearing down the VITUKI headquarters in North Csepel. This was solved with an explosion on the afternoon of December 10. Origo monitored the tower’s collapse at the scene. We show the photos!

In connection with the construction of the National Athletics Stadium for the 2023 World Athletics Championships, the apartment block of the VITUKI Water and Environmental Management Research Center was demolished with explosive technology on December 10. The operation was preceded by spectacular preparations, the police secured the place with great force, and during the restrictions of about 15 minutes, a large number of passers-by gathered to witness the unusual event.

The rehabilitation of the VITUKI site, known as an industrial area, and the Danube area, as well as a new open public sports and recreation park will be implemented for the capital, previously announced the investment agency BMSK Investment, Technical Development, Sports Management and Public Procurement Ltd.
