There is a problem across Europe in these minutes with Facebook Messenger. Messages are received late or not received at all. [Frissítés: most már egyáltalán nem megy át semmi.]

In addition to Hungary, there is a problem with the operation of the software in Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, France and Croatia, as well as in the United Kingdom, Greece and Romania.
According to complaints, written texts arrive late or do not reach the desktop interface (browser) of the service. Then they don’t even reach the recipient. The situation is a little better on the mobile phone, but there is also a lag.
The severity of the error is demonstrated by the fact that several of the messages sent to each other in our newsroom reached the addressee after 3-4 and 6-8 minutes, respectively. But it was also like having to wait a quarter of an hour or more. And in the messaging windows, most of them read the “No Internet connection” error message.
The last time I had a problem with Messenger was in late November, but just sending images was tricky. The current one is a more serious degree and apparently affects more.
On Wednesday, 48 US states also sued Facebook, which is accused of violating antitrust law.
