As the biggest surprise of the election, an association formed last year, the Association for the Unification of Romani Conspiracy Theories (AUR), which spread virus-denying conspiracy theories during the coronavirus epidemic, also reached parliament. with 8.7 percent.
In addition to them, 6.5 percent of the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (DAHR) will definitely have parliamentary representation.
Contrary to the estimates of exit polls, the partial results show that neither the left-wing Pro Romania party led by former Prime Minister Victor Ponta, nor the Conservative Popular Movement Party (PMP), founded by the former head of state Traian Basescu, which stands at 4.6%, will cross 5%. parliamentary threshold.
In addition to the five parties, which will have legislators in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, 17 national minority organizations sent a member to the lower house of the bicameral parliament through a facilitated procedure.
