János Nagy, undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Agriculture, was fired last Wednesday after it was revealed that he is being investigated for bribery. Blikk has noted that his political company, which is involved in the corruption case, also works for municipal and state companies, which has generated huge revenues in recent years.

János Nagy founded this company with his partner in 2018, the year in which he assumed the position of undersecretary of state. Already in the first year, it produced an after-tax profit of HUF 45 million, and last year this amount rose to 144 million, writes Blikk. According to the newspaper, János Nagy’s partner may be a former mayor or a representative of a small municipality, both members of that company, which János Nagy “helped”.

Blikk also writes about the company’s activities, ranging from a fairly wide range of management training and territorial consulting to serving as a data protection officer. In the latter field, the company is employed by Belváros-Lipótváros, János Nagy’s business partner, and his joint venture as data protection officer on the website of the supervision of public space and social institutions of the municipality run by Fidesz.

Juan el Grande is a fugitive at the moment, but during the investigation, they could easily attempt to influence, notify, confiscate or destroy witnesses, so they have been ordered to be under criminal supervision and location.
