The strongest Hungarian unit in the thirty-year history of Romanian parliamentarism was shaken. Under the DAHR tulip logo, candidates from the Transylvanian Hungarian Association and the Hungarian Youth Conference, formed from the merger of the two Hungarian People’s Parties and the Hungarian Civic Party, were able to vote.

Kelemen Hunor’s speech is broadcast live on the party’s social channel:

The DAHR President also thanked supporters, county leaders, campaign staff and public figures at a bilingual press conference in Romanian and Hungarian.

This is a balanced result and we obviously have to wait for the final result, but the fact of our input also means that we have received a strong mandate from the Hungarian community, so it is our job to represent them!

The participation showed that the epidemic and the anger of the government prevented people from exercising their right to vote!

The Alliance cannot rest for a minute, parliamentary work must begin on December 21. After Christmas, the budget for next year must be prepared. We support making health and employment a priority!

When asked by journalists who they would join the coalition with, the president replied that they had no invitation, that he has not yet commented on it. President Iohannis will call the parties to form a government, no party has an absolute majority, no one has crossed 51%.

But if I had to speak about my wishes, I would like to see a centrist right-wing government at the head of the country.

What do you think of getting into the extreme right? Asked a radio employee from Kossuth.

I’m not happy at all, but thanks to the voters, they are there, they were democratic elections, I think there are many more democratic, “common-minded MPs” in parliament to deal with important issues.
