The operator of a Chinese brothel in Budapest was sentenced to the first imprisonment, the Metropolitan Court told the MTI on Friday.
According to the statement, the defendant operated his brothel in the capital from October 2015 to August 2016, using prostitutes from the People’s Republic of China. He organized the trip of the prostitutes, who were responsible and also gave him part of their earnings. This money was used by the defendant in part to cover the operating costs of the brothel and in part for his own purposes.
One of his companions, as a real estate agent, helped in the rental of the property where the prostitution took place, as well as in the interpretation between the other two defendants.
Another colleague helped post advertisements that offered sexually explicit material, or received calls from interested clients and helped organize meetings.
In addition, between April and August 2016, the brothel operator regularly purchased medicines, part of which, in addition to ensuring its own consumption, was made available to third parties and offered for consumption. He was sentenced by the court to 12 years in prison for facilitating prostitution by running a brothel and committing drug trafficking for a significant amount of drugs as a multiple recidivism, depriving the accused of parole and expelling him from Hungary with final effect.
His court found two of his accomplices guilty of aiding and inciting prostitution as a criminal helper. One of them finished his probation in a previous criminal case and sentenced him to 1 year and 10 months, suspended for 2 years, as collective punishment, while the other sentenced him to 1 year, suspended for a year and a half, in prison. .
When imposing the sentence, the court took into account as a mitigating circumstance the passage of time, the partial confession of the brothel operator, as well as the impunity and confession of one of his companions, and the provision of food for a minor.
However, an aggravating circumstance was the criminal record of two defendants, as well as the fact that the brothel operator had committed the act as a special repeat offender.
Until the second instance process, the brothel operator remains in detention. The judgment is not final.
