Hungarian HBO GO is discontinued

After 10 years, next year it will be removed from our region. HBO GO-t – reports the series Wiki. Andy Forssell, director of HBO Max Global, announced Thursday that the transition of European streaming services from HBO to HBO Max will begin in the second half of 2021.

HBO Max launched in the United States in May this year and offers content from HBO owner WarnerMedia’s film and television library. Abroad, users can browse 15,000 hours of content here, which is double the Hungarian HBO GO offering.

At the same time, it is suspected that not all HBO GO shows will be available on HBO Max, although the offer will likely be tailored to Hungarian audiences. It is not yet known how much the new service will cost.
