The Fidesz Member of Parliament also revealed details: it turned out that a 3.7-kilometer section was built inside Hódmezővásárhely. He called the event historic, to the best of his knowledge, no streetcar line had been delivered in the country for 100 years in a city where it had never been before.

The total investment cost 80 billion HUF, which was jointly funded by the European Union and the Hungarian government.
