Demeter Szilárd’s journalism deeply stirred the mood, which was also reported by the Index. The museum director sent another letter to our editorial office. He said he would withdraw his hurtful journalism and remove himself from social media.

No matter what I think of my truth, and regardless of whether I will continue to defend the freedom of opinion and expression guaranteed by the Basic Law, I hereby withdraw my journalism (Soros). Facebook has been blocked for three days due to a quote from Imre Kertész, I cannot delete the post from there so I will delete my Facebook page.

Demeter Szilárd wrote in her statement to the Index.

Demeter replied to Mazsihis: The Holocaust is a legacy of all of us

“EU voices, led by profiteer György Soros, are importing virtually new anti-Semitism.”

I am giving the truth to those who criticize me that being a Nazi today is a relativization, and the Nazi parallel can inadvertently damage the memory of the victims. I will stick to this in the near future

– says the general director of the Petőfi Literary Museum.

Ferenc Gyurcsány also expressed a fundamental opinion in the Demeter case

The chairman of the DK party condemned not only the statement, but also those who remain silent. The party expects Demeter to be unemployed for the night.
