For the second time, the American Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation received a significant donation from the Hungarian government.

Hungary is contributing tens of millions of dollars to the American Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation’s goal of building a museum and research center in Washington, the foreign minister said on Facebook on Sunday. This is a grant of approximately HUF 3 billion.

Péter Szijjártó announced that the government signed a contract this week to contribute to the plan of a foundation established by the US Congress 27 years ago. The Polish and Hungarian historical memory community is shown in the fact that the Polish government also offered a significant amount, he added.
