By reducing the number of personal contacts, Volánbusz explains why he is introducing mandatory ticketing at the newer bus stations.

In order to increase the effectiveness of protection against the coronavirus epidemic, as of December 1, the offer of bus stations will be expanded where the sale of bus driver tickets will cease, announced Volánbusz Zrt.

It was written that to reduce the number of personal contacts, the company will introduce mandatory pre-collection at the following bus stations from December 1: Baja, Barcs, Békéscsaba, Cegléd, Debrecen, Eger, Gyöngyös, Győr, Harkány, Hévíz, Kazincbarcika, Kecskemét, Keszthely, Kisvárda, Lenti, Marcali, Miskolc, Nagyatád, Nyíregyháza – Petőfi tér 2., Salgótarján, Sopron, Szeged, Szolnok, Szombathely – Ady tér.

At the listed bus stations, flights can only be boarded during the relevant periods with a ticket, season ticket or other travel authorization. Products cannot be purchased from bus drivers while the cash registers are open.

Volánbusz urges its passengers to comply with public health regulations and prioritize the issuance of tickets and electronic tickets to avoid queues and reduce the number of personal contacts, the statement read.
