Marco Rossi defeated Iceland 2-1 in the European Championship qualifiers in November, winning the postponed continental tournament 2021, then drew 1-1 with Serbia in the Nations League and defeated Pavo 2-0. It is interesting that the Hungarian national band was only 52nd in the world rankings in September this year, but thanks to the good results achieved since then, it has made its way into the top 40.

Simultaneously with the publication of the November world ranking, it was also made official that the Hungarian team can look forward to the draw for the 2022 World Cup European qualifiers on December 7 from the third hat, that is, we will certainly avoid Russia, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Norway, Northern Ireland, Iceland, Scotland, Greece and Finland.
In the Zurich draw, the 55 European bands will be divided into ten groups (five of five and five of six). In addition to the 10 group winners, three of the 10 group winners from Europe will advance to the Qatar 2022 tournament (10 seconds in the group, plus two other teams from the Nations League-based ranking). The qualifier for the World Cup in Europe will be held in three legs, with the participation of four teams, in a semi-final-final system in March 2022.
The 32-team Qatar World Championship will be held from November 21 to December 18, 2022.
