The number of infected people continues to grow across Europe, in neighboring countries and in Hungary, with more and more people seeking hospital care. The epidemic cannot be stopped, the goal is to stop the epidemic and protect the performance of hospitals.

Another measure to curb the epidemic and protect the elderly took effect on Tuesday. The government accepted the proposal of the Council of Elders, and introduces a senior shopping bar on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., when only those over 65 can enter stores.
And the same thing happens on the weekends between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. However, it is also important to know that older people can shop at a time other than the shopping time reserved for them.

The police strictly monitor compliance with the rules, impose fines and close places where regulations are not followed. Soldiers support the work of police officers in various cities across the country and ease the burden on health workers in 93 hospitals.

Restaurants cannot accept guests, they can only stay there to bring food. Hotels cannot accept tourists, only guests arriving for business, economic or educational reasons. It is prohibited to carry out any type of event, including cultural events and Christmas fairs. Sports matches must be held behind closed doors. The use of leisure facilities, including in particular fitness rooms, indoor swimming pools, museums, libraries, cinemas and zoos, skating rinks, is prohibited.
Kindergartens, kindergartens and primary schools are open until the eighth grade as usual, with special institutional protection measures determined by the principal.

In Hungary, everyone has a hospital bed, care, a ventilator and with the protection measures that have just been introduced, the goal is to keep it that way. The protective measures are intended to curb the epidemic and therefore also to protect the performance of medical care. In order to continue providing hospital care to coronavirus patients with a growing number of patients, more capacity-building measures have been ordered: deferred surgeries have been suspended,
increased the number of hospitals involved in care and the number of hospital beds reserved for coronavirus patients.
The government is negotiating a coronavirus vaccine on several fronts to give Hungarians access to the vaccine as soon as possible, and has issued a decree that simplifies and accelerates the importation of foreign-made coronavirus vaccines and drugs in Hungary. A sample of the Russian coronavirus vaccine has already arrived in Hungary and a comprehensive analytical study of the full vaccine documentation is underway.
The government will negotiate and purchase all possible foreign vaccines, So far it has linked 12 million doses of the vaccine to three manufacturers: AstraZeneca in Oxford, Janssen Pharmaceutica in the United States and Pfizer.
To curb the spread of the community, we will continue to avoid places where there are many people indoors, preferably maintain social distance, wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Anyone who has received the official home quarantine order for a stay abroad or for any other reason must strictly comply. Anyone with symptoms should not go into the community but should stay home and notify their GP by phone.
Free flu vaccines are already being given as part of health protection. The provision of influenza vaccines to GPs is ongoing.
The protection of elderly and chronic patients is of the utmost importance.
Older people are also asked to pay close attention to themselves and general precautions. Visiting hospitals and nursing homes is prohibited. And nursing home administrators must do everything possible to prevent infection. If a focal point takes place in a social institution or anywhere else in the community, the epidemiological deployment unit will take the necessary actions.
In addition to maintaining health protection, the government is working on additional economic and family protection measures.
