Magyar Posta is changing: a unique system comes into force

Starting Thursday, all post offices in the country will prioritize serving people over 65 within one hour after opening, so seniors are advised to arrive immediately after opening and ask for patience to other clients, Magyar Posta told MTI on Wednesday.

Also due to the coronavirus epidemic, to reduce the risk of infection, Magyar Posta reintroduces the individual hold system, according to which only as many clients as server counters can be in the client space at a time.

The company asks others to wait at least 1.5 meters in front of the entrance. The entry and management of clients will be assisted, if necessary, by a postal employee.

Magyar Posta will continue to maintain the protection measures taken previously: postal staff will deliver items that require personal collection by contactless delivery, presenting identification data instead of signature.

The use of masks is mandatory in post offices, deliveries, in factories and offices, and in our large facilities, body temperature measurements are regular on arrival – read the company announcement.
