A government decree containing the powers and responsibilities of the National Hospital General Directorate (OKFŐ) established last Tuesday was published in the Hungarian Gazette, and another decree stipulates how these rules will be changed during an emergency (emergency) due to an epidemic of coronavirus.

According to this, in an emergency, the national director general of the hospital, Zoltán Jenei, who was named in a decree last Wednesday, is not in charge of the highest organization of hospital maintenance.

but “the Minister in charge of enforcing the law appointed as Chief of the Operational General Staff”, who is currently Minister of the Interior Sándor Pintér.

During the emergency (until February 8, 2021, depending on the current position), the Minister will be responsible

  • Issue the organizational and operational regulations of OKF normativa in a normative instruction, with the approval of the Prime Minister,
  • propose to the Prime Minister the appointment or removal of the Director General of the National Hospital,
  • determine the CEO’s salary,
  • and exercise the rights of the employer over those who work in the health institutions dependent on the General Directorate.

The regulation will go into effect tomorrow.
