Maradona underwent surgery in early November for intracranial hemorrhage. According to reports at the time, the surgery was not complicated, but he was kept in the hospital for a few more days due to withdrawal symptoms. He remained in bed for a total of eight days before being released.

According to recent reports – from Spanish Ast, Italian Italian Soccer to the tabloid of the Argentine leadership Clarín – a sudden cardiac arrest caused the death of Maradona.

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) confirmed on Twitter the death of the legend at 5:37 p.m. The family’s legal representative also confirmed Maradona’s death.

Maradona was one of the most defining footballers of the eighties. He was able to wear the whole of the Argentine national team a total of 91 times between 1977 and 1994 and scored 34 goals. His greatest success was clearly the 1986 World Championship title, in which he nearly led his national team to victory.

At the club level, his name merged with Napoli. In 1984 he advanced from Barcelona to the southern Italians, where he was proclaimed two-time champion of Italy (1987, 1990), with whom he won the Italian Cup (1987), the Super Cup (1990) and the UEFA Cup (1989).

His career in Naples ended in drug problems, and after his rehabilitation and sanction he returned to Seville. After a season, he returned home and signed with Newell’s Old Boys. After a two-year hiatus, he returned for the second time, serving Boca Juniors from 1995 to 1997, but was no longer able to repeat his previous performance.

In the early 2000s, he made headlines with his weight problems and serious health problems, causing his death to be repeated several times, but he still struggled from here: in 2008, making his big dream come true, he became the federal captain of the Argentine team. At the 2010 World Cup, however, he failed to make a lasting impression, saying goodbye to Germany in the quarter-finals with a 4-0 loss. He left the national team shortly after. He later worked as a head coach in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and Mexico.

His last team was the aforementioned Gymnastics, which he took over in 2019.
