The new coronavirus infection (Covid-19) was detected in 3,929 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infections identified to 181,881, according to the data series published by the government information portal this Tuesday morning. 117, mostly elderly, chronic patients died, bringing the death toll to 4,008, and 44,020 have already recovered.

The number of active infections is 133,853. Twenty-two percent of those actively infected, 25 percent of the dead, and 26 percent of those recovered were from Budapest. 7,598 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 638 of whom are on ventilators.

The operating court currently ordered extraordinary breaks in 205 kindergarten groups (7%) and 154 kindergartens (5%), as well as digital curricula in 82 primary schools (3%), 420 school classes (16%) and 52 elementary schools (2%).

The 24-hour death toll reached a record on November 20. Later, 121 infected people lost their lives.

In defense of the coronavirus, the Orbán government has opted for strict restrictions, and since Tuesday a shopping band was delivered to the elderly.
