More than two million Americans sat on the plane over the weekend, although epidemiological officials have indicated that the problem could be even bigger than it is now.

Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections a day had been identified and the number of deaths from the virus mostly ranged from 50 to 100 in 24 hours. The first step is a partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

Despite the warnings, more than two million Americans boarded the weekend, the US aviation security authority said on Friday, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They specifically asked everyone not to travel with their family members for Thanksgiving on November 26 to spend the event at home, with a small family, without guests.

In comparison, they have bought as many airline tickets as since mid-March.

Speaking to CBS television on Sunday, Anthony Fauci, an expert in epidemiology, emphasized, among other things, that crowded airports, mass travel, “could get us in more trouble than we are now.”

He added that Thanksgiving infections can only be diagnosed weeks later. He called the situation particularly difficult and put it this way: the epidemic could break loose, mainly because the cold weather had arrived favoring the spread of the virus.

Most airlines will not refund your plane ticket, even if someone is forced to cancel your trip for health reasons.
