It is not uncommon for young people with often organized family backgrounds to hide behind the facelessness that the Internet offers and meet on social media that leads them in the wrong direction: the latest police news is the Police website Police .hu. They add that this was also the case for twentysomethings who became involved in the drug business within a community of chat rooms. The drug was purchased online, the foreign sellers did not meet in person, and the drug they ordered was delivered to them through a courier, then continuously delivered and received in consultation with each other in the chat room. They had the illusion that all this could be hidden from the authorities. They were wrong. They realized this when the police woke them up in the early morning of November 20, 2020.

The Drug Crimes Division (KR NNI) of the Department of International Crimes of the National Bureau of Investigation of the Reserve Police initiated an investigation in the summer of 2020 based on information from the Department of Recognition of the County Police Headquarters of Győr-Moson-Sopron (GyMRFK).

Various departments of the KR NNI, with the participation of KR and GyMRFK units, attacked on 20 November 2020 in a total of 15 locations with a youth drug gang. Various types of drugs were found among members of a network of twenty-somethings in the capital. Among the several kilograms of material seized are marijuana, ecstasy, hashish, LSD, amphetamines, but even cocaine. As there was information that the Ugod suspect might have a weapon, he was arrested with the help of the Operations Unit of the Anti-Terrorism Center. Investigators found objects used for packaging and measuring drugs in Budapest, Camp Village, Ugod and Győr, but they also seized computer equipment, an air pistol and a firearm, and more than 10 million guilders in cash.

An investigation at KR NYI revealed that the group’s founder was Csaba G., 27, who lives in Budapest. He created a network of nearly twenty people and sold the various types of drugs to members, along with his partner, Sarah E., 25, through an Internet application, which the group members resell to each other. The gang members negotiated the sale and sale of the drug online. The youngest member of the team became an adult just a few months ago. Most of the suspects arrested have no verifiable employment relationship, presumably supporting themselves from drug trafficking.

In the context of the case, KR NNI staff are prosecuting a total of 18 people for drug trafficking offenses. Nine men and two women were arrested, including G. Csaba and E. Sara. The police filed a motion to arrest ten people and proposed that one person be placed under criminal supervision.
