The smaller ruling party itself said its representative was ill.

Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections a day had been identified and the number of deaths from the virus was mostly between 50 and 100 in 24 hours. The first step is partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

András Aradszki, a member of the Christian Democratic People’s Party faction and a notary public, needs to be hospitalized, and the KDNP wrote in a statement.

Aradszki, 64, was previously deputy mayor of Érd, and from June 2014 to 2018 he held the position of Secretary of State for Energy in the Ministry of National Development.

Before Aradsky, several politicians had been infected, most recently Chancellor Péter Szijjártó produced a negative test, 17 days after the illness. Among the ministers, Judit Varga was caught with the infection, who also recovered. Minister Gergely Gulyás and Secretary of State Balázs Orbán were only quarantined, but their test came back negative after meeting István Hollik, communications director for Fidesz, the then coronavirus, at an autumn event. László Trócsányi MEP and State Secretary Bence Tuzson also contracted the infection even earlier. In early November, Minister Péter Hoppál also contracted the infection, coming out of quarantine on November 14.

Several pro-government and opposition mayors were infected, Lénárd Borbély de Fidesz and the opposition mayor of Józsefváros, András Pikó, were hospitalized for a few days.

Géza Szőcs, a former secretary of state and acting prime minister, died on November 5 from the infection.
