Szarvas TV recently interviewed the mayor of the city, in which Mihály Babák was captivated with a pronounced pronounced.

So if it turns out that someone has become covid because they have been tested or are in quarantine, they should be treated as leprosy! Forgive me for the phrase …

This is not the first time that Mihály Babák has made objectionable comments at a city council meeting. In February, he drew attention to himself with a sexist comment when one of the opposition MPs said he couldn’t hear what he was saying correctly and then asked him to lean closer to the microphone.

To this the mayor responded with his phrases, which have since become famous:

Can’t you hear me? Well, don’t be mad, but I’m not going to put it in my mouth. It grows better for me than it does for me, so I don’t.

In a subsequent ATV interview, Mihály Babák apologized for the incident to anyone he may have offended, and later called his comment a very silly speech. He also said it was not his style and new microphones have been reassuringly acquired since then.

(The mayor of Fidesz was also a member of Parliament between 1998 and 2014).
