In his Facebook video, Péter Szijjártó emphasized that it has now become clear to everyone that the best and safest solution in a pandemic is a vaccine. The politician said a sample of the vaccine produced there arrived from Russia on Thursday. Hungary is the first European country to receive such a vaccine sample.

These were transported by air to Hungary under very special conditions, kept at -18 degrees Celsius at all times. He pointed out that this is how the samples will be transported to the Hungarian official laboratory, where in the next period Hungarian experts will have the opportunity to study the vaccine and make the most informed decision on “possible use and possible authorization.” He said these full analytical studies could begin as soon as full documentation of the vaccine is received from the Russian manufacturer.
