As we report, Viktor Orban Prime Minister Zoltán Jenei appointed head of the General Health Directorate of the National Hospital. The task of the newly created General Directorate is to supervise the operation of the health care system, to “base the government’s strategic decisions on the review, within the framework of which it contributes to the development of a new national health care management system unified and transparent health “.
Until recently, Jenei was rector of the University of Pécs. He has a BA in economics and worked as an economic manager at Somogy County Police Headquarters and the National Police Headquarters prior to his appointment as Chancellor. During the Gyurcsány government, he also directed the hospital as Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of the Interior and as Ministerial Commissioner of the Central Hospital and Institutions of the Ministry of the Interior.
In the Hungarian Gazette published on Thursday, the Prime Minister also appointed his deputies on Jenei’s proposal:
- Gabriella Bábiné Szottfried,
- Dr. Ildikót Bene,
- Dr. Bálint Szabó,
- Dr. Péter Takács
- Y Tamás Tobias.
Among them, Gabriella Bábiné Szottfried and Ildikó Bene were also members of the Fidesz parliament, after a long history of health. As Ministerial Commissioner, Bábiné was also responsible for the renewal of the network of nurses, currently head of the nursing department of the School of Health Professionals, and Ildikó Bene was the director of the Szolnok Hospital from 2010 to 2014, now acting director from Hospital Géza Hetényi. The first was a deputy until 2014, the second until 2018.
