The number of actively infected people is 121,644. 23 percent of the actively infected, 26 percent of the dead and 26 percent of those recovered are from Budapest. 7,532 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 580 of whom are on ventilators.

The number of infected people is increasing across Europe, in neighboring countries and in Hungary, with more and more people seeking hospital care. The epidemic cannot be stopped, the goal is to stop the epidemic and protect the performance of hospitals. This is also the aim of the new announced emergency protection measures.

The police strictly monitor compliance with the rules, impose fines and close places where regulations are not followed. Soldiers support the work of police officers in various cities across the country and are involved in enforcing restrictions and curfews, as well as maintaining public order and security.

Stores, with the exception of pharmacies and gas stations, can stay open until 7pm and after the curfew expires, so they can open at 5am at the earliest. Service providers and services that are not mentioned in the regulations (eg hairdresser, masseuse, personal trainer) can normally operate under the curfew rules.

The regulations introduced so far on the use and maintenance of distance remain in force, with the obligation to wear a mask in some public areas of settlements with more than 10,000 inhabitants. It is the mayor’s responsibility to designate the areas. The use of a mask is not yet mandatory during sports activities or in parks or green areas.

All meetings are prohibited. Restaurants cannot accept guests, they can only stay there to bring food. Hotels cannot accept tourists, only guests arriving for business, economic or educational reasons. It is forbidden to carry out any type of event, including cultural events and Christmas fairs.

Kindergartens, kindergartens and primary schools are open until the eighth grade as usual, with special institutional protection measures determined by the principal. High schools and universities have moved to a digital agenda. The government has issued a decree whereby a fixed Internet access service will be available free of charge for thirty days to students and teachers of digital education in public education and vocational training.

Currently, the Operational Court ordered extraordinary breaks in 325 kindergartens (11%) and 51 primary schools (1.98%), digital curricula in 362 primary education classes (14%) and 27 primary schools (1%).

Private and family events (eg birthdays) can be held for up to 10 people. Funerals can be held for up to 50 people. Weddings can be held without a wedding, however only certain people can attend the event.

Everyone in Hungary has a hospital bed, healthcare, a ventilator and, with the protective measures in place, the goal is to keep it that way. Protection measures serve to curb the epidemic and thus protect the performance of healthcare. To continue providing hospital care to coronavirus patients with the growing number of patients, more capacity-building measures were ordered: deferred surgeries were suspended, the number of hospitals involved in care increased, and the number of hospital beds reserved. for coronavirus patients.

The government is negotiating a coronavirus vaccine on several fronts to ensure that Hungarians have access to the vaccine as soon as possible, and has enacted a decree that will simplify and speed up the importation of foreign-produced coronavirus vaccines and drugs into Hungary. .

In order to slow the spread of the community, we will continue to avoid places where there are a lot of people inside, preferably keep social distance, wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Anyone who has received the official home quarantine order for a stay abroad or for any other reason must strictly comply. Anyone with symptoms should not go to the community but stay home and notify their GP by phone.

In addition to maintaining health protection, the government is working on additional economic and family protection measures.
