Ten dose samples of the Russian vaccine arrive in Hungary.

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó shared a video of the US Chamber of Commerce online meeting on Facebook on Wednesday. The coronavirus epidemic was also discussed at the meeting, said Szijjártó, “we all know that the real solution to this situation will be the vaccine, and we are negotiating in all directions in that regard. That is why I would like to inform you that we will be the first country in which will receive samples of the Russian vaccine on Thursday. “

The chancellor also added that ten doses of samples will arrive in Hungary, which will be tested in official laboratories. The results of the tests will decide whether Hungary will buy the Russian vaccine.

However, Szijjártó also said that the government has also signed a cooperation agreement with the Chinese vaccine manufacturer and is involved in a European project to develop the antidote.

The chancellor spoke last week about the fact that in a few days we will also obtain a sample of the Russian vaccine, which will be tested in the laboratory of the National Center for Public Health. If it complies with the regulations, Russians will be able to deliver larger quantities of vaccines to Hungary from January.

The coronavirus also differs from the great epidemics of previous years in that this time we can read about the events in Western and Central Europe as news from distant non-exotic countries, this time we are one of the focuses. In the first part of our series of articles, we showed how the economy of the eastern border region of Russia and Europe was affected by the epidemic.

Increasingly, the production of Sputnik V, heralded by Russian President Vladimir Putin as the world’s first effective coronavirus vaccine, does not appear to be on an industrial scale for some time. Of course, this also delays the expected export of the vaccine.
