Recent government decisions to support road investment, including the decision to complete the M6 motorway, were published in the Hungarian Gazette. The money is available for the construction of a section of about twenty kilometers between Bóly and the border, KDNP deputy János Hargitai told us.

The M6 motorway will soon reach the Croatian border, as the government has allocated 587 billion HUF for the expansion and modernization of the road network. All other permits and plans required for construction have already been completed and are valid, and the necessary area is already in the possession of the state, so there are no obstacles to starting construction, the politician said.
As he said, the section that goes from the M6-M60 junction to the national border will be a 2 × 2 lane expressway with physical separation. The length of the section between Bóly and Ivándárda is about 20 kilometers. The highway will be built with three separate grade crossings, in Nagynyárád with a complex rest area and two bridges. The plan still includes the implementation of the Villány crossing. One of the bridges promises to be very spectacular as it has to cross a 67 meter long railway line.
The local government of Pécs received a deferral of the refund
The government has also decided that the local government of Pécs will not have to repay the government subsidy of HUF 8.54 billion this year, but will have to pay it in December 2024. According to the decision, the amount must be repaid in five installments, broken down into years , in relation to which it is also observed that one billion guilders of the aid were already reimbursed by Pécs on 1 October last year, during the previous municipal administration.
Péter Hoppál (Fidesz), a Pécs parliamentarian, said on behalf of the community that he had negotiated in three ministries, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Human Resources, to comply with the government decision published the previous day. According to Hoppál, the economic development program can continue in Pécs with a decision.
Before the epidemic situation, when the budget was approved, the left-wing municipal administration even had the version that HUF 2.4 billion would be reimbursed and properties worth HUF 6 billion would be handed over to the government.
It is also good news, as we have already reported, that the government is providing significant support for the construction of the new PMFC stadium.
Mohács is not out of the good either
One of the biggest investments in the city may start in Mohács, after Prime Minister Viktor Orbán signed a document on the provision of 2.8 billion HUF in additional support for the implementation of the Mohács port development: János Hargitai shared the good news news with our newspaper. The decision on the grant was published in the Hungarian Gazette on Thursday. Along with the new support, around 7.5 billion HUF is available for the investment implementation.
According to those previously published in the EU public procurement prospectus, Platina-Bau Zrt, was the winner of the contractor selection procedure for this company to build the new national public port in Mohács.
Roads are being built in the southern area of the border port towards the city, port docks will be installed for loading and unloading ships, service buildings and a 787-square-meter warehouse will be built.
The preparation of the large investment began years ago: the local government earned about one hundred million florins for the preparation of the pre-construction studies and the necessary studies, so that after the government’s decision on the investment, they did not have what to expect.
In 2016, the Board of Representatives decided to provide the necessary own funds for the investment, HUF 294 million, the amount of which is made up of the city’s development reserve.
The investment also includes the modernization of the railway line and road connection, as well as the construction of the entire coastal infrastructure up to and including the port control building.
Hops receive 3.6 billion HUF
