The schedule for daytime flights will not change, but the Budapest Transportation Center (BKK) will introduce a new schedule for night flights from Friday, MTI announced.

In its statement, BKK wrote that daytime public transport services will be launched with an unchanged schedule, regardless of curfew restrictions, so that even those who do not work between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. or 9 a.m. and by 5 pm they can get to their jobs safely.

All flights will continue to operate, but according to their new schedule, buses will leave every 15 minutes in the city center of Budapest, towards the center of the outer districts and towards larger urbanizations every 30 minutes, and those in other areas they will be followed every 60 minutes.

The new schedule for night flights will soon be available on the BKK website.

It was recalled that BKK flights operate at maximum capacity since September in accordance with epidemiological controls and depart from a more frequent schedule than usual in the morning.

During the afternoon peak between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., as defined in the government decree, BKK will gradually compress its most used flights by placing as many vehicles as possible

bus services on metro lines 3 and 4, tram lines 1, 4, 6, the interlocking tram network in Buda, the Rákóczi út axis and other services serving the large district centers and housing estates (such as buses 9 , 23, 31, 32, 85, 95, 105, 151, 159 and 76 and the 79M trolley).

They also mentioned that starting Wednesday, healthcare workers and medical and health sciences training students involved in protecting against coronavirus will be able to travel for free on local and intercity flights, including BKK flights.

To do this, health workers and interested students must present, among other things, a certificate issued by the health institution that employs them, contained in a government decree. However, they added that the BKK will temporarily accept, until November 17, the official card issued to holders of health professional qualifications authorizing the provision of health services, including professional chambers membership cards.

BKK will reimburse the price proportionally to health workers and students who have the right to travel for free and who have a valid pass.

To do this, an application for equity must be submitted, which is currently only possible in person, at BKK customer service centers and central customer service.

BKK also announced that it will change the opening hours of the BKK ticket offices and ticket offices: the ticket offices will be open uniformly every day from 5.30 to 19.00, except for the ticket office located in the container building of the Corvin district, which It will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. .

All BKK customer service centers are open from 7 am to 7 pm. However, the customer service centers at Liszt Ferenc Airport have been temporarily closed.
