According to Lajos Nagy, the doctors transferred from his hospital to Győr have already returned.

Coronavirus: the second wave, the second closure

Later than expected by many, but in mid-November, the Hungarian government also decided to try to curb the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic by introducing restrictions. At the time of the decision, 5,000 new infections a day had been identified and the number of deaths from the virus was mostly between 50 and 100 in 24 hours. The first step is partial closure, but how effective it is is questionable. Follow our news!

Of the thirty-two fans, only 17 are staffed at the Markusovszky University Hospital in Szombathely, according to Ugytudjuk.hu, the city’s mayor said at a news conference Tuesday morning. András Nemény also spoke about the reason: some of the doctors who could handle the ventilators were directed to Győr.

We sent questions to the hospital about the data presented by the mayor, which were answered by the CEO, Lajos Nagy. He wrote that the hospital has a total of 65 ventilators installed, and that number could be expanded to the 117 prescribed. “There are currently 18 COVID patients connected to a ventilator. There are 14 ventilated free beds in the COVID intensive care unit in which, if necessary, a COVID patient can be placed ”.

When asked if it was true that they could only operate fewer machines due to the redirection of professionals, the CEO said it was not true. He then added that the professionals previously redirected to Győr had already returned.

By the way, in no case did the hospital treat a patient in need of ventilation with a ventilator. “

The CEO said the hospital, which currently cares for 179 coronavirus patients, has killed an average of three coronavirus-infected patients per day in the past two weeks. According to him, this figure is similar to data from other hospitals compared to the number of patients treated there and the severity of their condition. “Most of our patients were elderly and had other chronic diseases,” he noted.

Nagy has also previously issued a statement in which he wrote that currently no employee of the Markusovszky Hospital provides medical care at Győr Hospital. When the Petz Aladár Hospital in Győr was designated for epidemiological tasks, and Markusovszky was not yet designated, a displacement took place, but this ceased with the change in the epidemiological situation.

The mayor responded to this from the community side: “The hospital director had just forgotten the announcement that (almost) the doctors returned from Győr only a month later, which means that we can now use the full capacity of the ventilator.”

Different prices for the same machine, incomplete contracts, failed rapid tests for 260 million. There was total chaos in the many, many tens of billions of epidemiological businesses with selected companies. We present previously unknown documents.

We got the list - this is how you spent tens of billions on friendly fans at friendly companies.

After several months of correspondence and notification to the National Office for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued annexes to the fan purchase contracts, indicating from whom and how much. Most of the money was spent on a company that can be linked to one of Viktor Orbán’s top advisers, and the most obvious thing is the confusion between prices: not a single machine of the same type that each supplier sold to KKM for the same quantity.
