A journalist was shot and killed at work in Salamanca, central Mexico, on Monday, local news portal El Salmantino, whose victim Israel Vázquez worked, said Tuesday.
He is already the third journalist killed in the last month. According to El Salmantino, Vázquez was working on a report when he was shot.
The local newspaper El Sol de México knows that the 31-year-old journalist arrived at the scene of a crime in front of the police, after a report on a stuffed corpse.

In Salamanca, different criminal organizations compete with each other to increase their influence, and agreements between them are not uncommon.
