According to the Secretary of State, traditional education should be continued for as long as possible.

With the speech at the weekend, the Democratic Union of Teachers (PDSZ) demonstrated that the objective is not to support the defense, but to make defense measures impossible – said Zoltán Maruzsa.

The Secretary of State for Public Education in the Ministry of Human Resources responded to a statement from PDSZ on Sunday in which the union asked parents not to send their children to kindergarten or school if they could handle supervision at home. . It has been suggested that many letters are received in which parents fear their children because distance is inadequate and segregation of student groups cannot be guaranteed everywhere, and in the vast majority of cases there is no evidence or they just get late.

According to Zoltán Maruzsa, children are not interested in staying at home and thus abandoning education, according to him, education should continue in the traditional framework for as long as possible, and where the infection appears, there is – as before – a schedule of digital work outside of class. to protect the children and teachers involved.

Viktor Orbán announced new restrictive measures on Monday morning, among others, higher education will switch to online mode, universities will be closed and digital education will take effect in upper secondary schools above the eighth grade. However, the restrictions do not affect those under 14 years of age, and nurseries, kindergartens and primary schools will remain open.
