The government has decided that elections cannot be held during emergencies

It is not possible to hold an election at the time of emergency, and if a vote has already been set for this time, it will be lost, according to the Hungarian Daily on Thursday night.

In the event of the dissolution of the local government or the representative body of the national self-government, the decision will take effect the day after the emergency ceases.

An interim election cannot be set until the day after the end of the emergency, elections already scheduled will be lost. The letters of recommendation issued will be delivered to the voting table within fifteen days after the entry into force of these Regulations, which will destroy them.

An unscheduled and missed election must be scheduled within fifteen days of the end of the emergency.

This also applies to national and local referendums. Nor can they start, the referenda already scheduled will be lost; it can be read in the Hungarian Gazette.
