According to experts, curbing the epidemic would require restrictions on massive events and massive testing. Therefore, the capital decided to expand its testing capabilities. Acquisition of 100,000 new types of antigen-based tests and acquisition of more than 10,000 PCR tests in addition to existing stocks has begun, according to the mayor.

Antigen tests used in various European countries screen infectious individuals with great certainty and show results in as little as 15 minutes.

Through the care of the district, the Metropolitan Municipality will be able to provide testing beginning in late November, as it works to provide another round of testing for teachers and employees of educational institutions after the winter break.

The pedagogical unions also participate in the process and are consulted. “With this, we want to protect teachers, parents and children, ensure the functioning of education in the city. We will continue to carry out regular tests in social care, we will also filter our employees who work in public service.
