Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. A curfew will be imposed throughout Italy from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the provinces of Lombardy, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta and Calabria will be closed, leaving no residences during the day, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced Wednesday evening. .

The borders of the four regions classified as red zones will be closed and movement within the provinces will also be prohibited. You can only go out for work, school or urgent medical reasons. Hospitality and commerce will be closed, and only grocery stores and essentials stores will remain open.

Puglia and Sicily have been declared orange, that is, moderately dangerous. The rest of the country belongs to the so-called yellow zone, where lighter restrictions apply.
