US presidential election: when is the result expected? The mud fight begins

With the total cessation of rapid aggregation of votes after the polls closed, there was painful uncertainty and, due to the extraordinary voting conditions, it is not possible to know who will win the US presidential elections. A debate in court is sure to begin, as is the fact that the landslide Democratic triumph that many hope can be forgotten.

At a level close to a tie, vote counting in the US presidential election has come to a halt, where preparations must be made for a process that stretches into the night, which can take days.

Wiggle and go

According to the current position, shortly after 10 a.m. Hungarian time, Democratic candidate Joe Biden has 220 and Republican President Donald Trump has 213 electoral votes. Victory requires 270 votes, and the remaining undecided states have many more votes, meaning any candidate can win.

The prolonged counting of votes was expected from the point of view that, due to the epidemic situation, many people voted in advance or by letter, casting more than 100 million votes by mail. These began to be counted in the pending states only after the votes cast on Election Day, and there are also districts where the shift was closed for that day due to late time and then on Thursday Hungarian time, they continue.

It is true that the election will be decided in the north and in the east. There are five states that provide a lot of electricity, all led by Trump, with all Democrats waiting for a translation after the letters are processed.

With high prosecution, Trump is expected to attract the states of Georgia and North Carolina, which alone have 31 electoral votes. If Trump subsequently wins two of the so-called “Blue Wall” states, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, he will be president. The biggest possibility of that is in the state of Pennsylvania, which provides 20 electricity, where the Republican president leads by 700,000 votes, but nearly 1.5 million votes have yet to be counted.

Trump yelled fraud

As expected, Trump questioned the regularity of the elections and announced that they would go to the Supreme Court to stop the vote counting, which Trump said was a fraud while he had already won the election.

It’s unclear what the Republicans are aiming for, as Trump has every chance of winning even taking into account the remaining votes. This is already a surprise, as the metrics predicted a comfortable victory for Biden, with the Democratic nominee leading about 10 points over the polls. Trump said he should be declared the winner in the states where he leads.

Biden patiently admonished his supporters as long as all the votes were counted. He also said that they were on the right path to victory.

Patience game

After the initial rapid processing, it slowed down a lot, so much so that there will be no results Wednesday in key states, so there will be no final decision on who won the presidential election. Data is leaking, Joe Biden took the lead in the state of Wisconsin, from where, according to Hungarian time, a final result can still be expected on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Trump made headway in Nevada, though most have already reserved it for Biden’s victory. In Nevada, on the other hand, today there will be no results, and then they will begin to process the votes by mail.
