On Wednesday, the sky will be very cloudy or overcast. Fog is expected in many places initially, dissipating in most places during the day, but visibility may remain limited in the north, northeast, and cloud-shrouded mountain landscapes. In the morning there may be light rains only in Transdanubia, but from the afternoon we can expect increasingly intense rains in the central parts of the country. In Transdanubia it is reviving, in the Kisalföld, in the foothills of the Alps, the northwesterly wind is strengthening. The highest daily temperatures are likely to be between 11 and 16 degrees. In the late afternoon, the air cools between 9 and 13 degrees.
The National Weather Service issued a first-level alert to the entire country, except five counties, due to persistent and dense fog:
