An Islamist was arrested in Linz after the terrorist attack in Vienna

Austrian police detained a man in Linz after Monday’s murder in Vienna, Austrian public service television ORF reported Tuesday.

The man who was reported to be Islamist, taken from a house by handcuffed and handcuffed policemen – reported the Austrian public service tax ORF, adding: It is not yet known whether the man was involved in an armed attack in the Austrian capital.

Governor of Upper Austria and the national police chief also confirmed his arrest.At a press conference in Linz on Tuesday, Governor Thomas Stelzer announced that a man had been detained and searched.

The arrest was carried out by the Cobra Police Command “without much fuss” following the instructions of the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office, National Police Chief Andreas Pilsl said. Interrogations are ongoing, he added.
