In a video posted on his Facebook page, the prime minister assured Austria of his support after the terrorist attack in Vienna.

“As they say here in Budapest, we are brothers-in-law. The attack on you is the attack on us, your pain is our pain, your challenges are our challenges,” Viktor Orbán said in Vienna the day after Monday’s terrorist attack. In the prime minister’s video, Sebastian Kurz also addressed a few phrases to the Austrian Chancellor: “Rest assured, dear Sebastian, that we support you and we will do everything possible to deter future perpetrators from catching the perpetrators.” According to Orbán, Hungary is ready to save Europe from the terrorist attacks that it had suffered in the previous days together with Austria.

In Vienna, at least 15 were injured and four died on Monday night when several gunmen opened fire in the streets. According to the Austrian interior minister, one of the attackers was a sympathizer of a terrorist organization called the Islamic State. Police have asked the public to stay home, the children do not have to go to school on Tuesday. There have also been terrorist attacks in Nice and Paris in recent days.
