Shots were fired and a murderer blew himself up in central Vienna on Monday night, writes a Kronen Zeitung, citing a police spokesman. According to the newspaper, one of the synagogues in the Austrian capital was attacked on the Seitenstettengasse. According to the Kronen Zeitung, not only are they attacking a murderer, but a colleague is on the run.
Kurier reports seven dead and several injured.

Police preparedness on the site, around Schwedenplatz, is now huge, and authorities have asked those who live there to stay home and be able to, avoid the area and no one to post photos or videos. Witnesses said the shots rang out shortly after 8 p.m. At least 50 of them were heard. Someone told the ORF that they had seen a figure run towards Schwedenplatz, who was firing “savagely” with his automatic weapon. He continued all the way to Schwedenplatz, where the police arrived and started shooting at him.
