The Slovaks asked for fifty people for the national test, but Péter Szijjártó was generous.

Coronavirus – the second wave

Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. According to the signs, the second wave also reached Hungary. Follow our news!

Hungary helps the national testing program for the weekend in Slovakia with two hundred health workers – said 444 Ivan Korčok, Slovak Minister of Foreign and EU Affairs Twitter. According to Korčok, they only asked for 50 people, the Hungarians are sending 200, for which he thanked Chancellor Péter Szijjártó. According to the Slovak minister, the Hungarians will help their Slovak colleagues in Komárom, Léva, Nitra and Tőkerebesi near Košice.

No one has responded from the Hungarian government if it is considered problematic to send 200 people out of the currently heavily burdened Hungarian healthcare system.

In Slovakia, more than 55,000 cases have been recorded since the virus appeared, and a total of 212 people died from the virus. The second wave has also multiplied the number of cases and the number of victims there, currently there is a curfew in the country.

The Slovak government wants to screen the entire population of 5.4 million countries with antigen-based tests, but the plan has not been a total success for everyone. Experts fear that the test is not reliable enough, so that up to tens of thousands of infected will walk knowing that nothing is wrong. The population, meanwhile, complains of ever-changing disorganization and communication. However, according to Prime Minister Igor Matovic, they are either closing the country or doing something to prevent it. There are more than 33,000 people confirmed with coronavirus in Slovakia, a number that rose sharply last week. Just yesterday, 2,000 new infections were identified.

In Italy, the number of infected has increased considerably, but so has the number of tests.
