The spread of the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine accelerated again, by Friday the number of infected people identified in one day had risen to more than eight thousand, and the total number of deaths exceeded seven thousand.
In the last day, with 8,312 new cases, the number of confirmed infections increased to 378,729 and the number of deaths increased by 173 to 7,041, which decided another daily peak. So far, 155,026 people have been cured, but 216,662 patients are already being treated for coronavirus infection in the country.
The government revised the color classification of municipalities and regions by epidemic before Friday, and
ranked Ungvár, Beregszás and Uzhhorod district as the most serious red zone in Transcarpathia, among others.
The capital of the most infected area of the country, Kiev, is still “orange”. Schools must be closed, public transportation must be closed, and public events must not be held in red-rated locations.
Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said in a daily briefing that his portfolio opposes the introduction of a complete short circuit in Ukraine, mainly due to the economic situation in the country.
