In Moscow, vaccination of residents with the Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus may begin in November, reports the MTI. According to the telegraph office, this was announced by Moscow’s deputy mayor Anastasia Rakova on Rossiya 24 television.

Anastasia Rakova explained that in parallel with the production of the vaccine, the construction of a network of clinics specialized in vaccination against Covid-19 had begun in the Russian capital.

However, he added that mass vaccination has not yet been launched.

According to the deputy mayor, 20,000 of the 40,000 volunteers involved in the massive two-component Sputnik V test had already received the first ingredient and 10,000 of them the second. About 2.5 thousand of at-risk physicians and educators have been vaccinated so far. According to the deputy mayor, everyone who received the vaccine is fine, there have been no side effects.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin had previously promised to launch a mass vaccination in late November and early December. Vladimir Putin also last estimated the date for this at the end of the year.

In Russia, about 18,283 new infections were diagnosed on Friday, bringing the total to 1.6 million Russians already infected (so far only the United States, India and Brazil have had more infections).
