The 200-meter-long strip of land between the two entrances to the beach was leased by the local Gárdony government to a local government representative for a few pennies, whose business also operates Panorama Beach. There is a charge for parking.

According to the 2017 contract modification detected by the Gárdonyi Közlöny Facebook page, Dávid Víz-Szer Kft. Rents and rents the 600-square-meter plot per car park for only HUF 55,000 per season. Due to the apparently undervalued municipal contract, Erzsébet Schmuck, co-president of the LMP, filed a police complaint and the Gárdonyi Police Headquarters is investigating a comprehensive suspicion of the crime of dishonest treatment that caused further material damage, the newspaper writes. Népszava was looking for Zoltán Dávid, but they did not reach him.

At the same time, István Tóth, mayor of Fidesz, Gárdony, claimed that the local government had done everything correctly. According to him, the guests of the free beach did not use the paid parking area, but instead stopped in the lane that is considered a public area, which is maintained by Zoltán Dávid’s company. The contractor indicated that it was no longer worthwhile for him to operate the beach, and put a decision to the municipality: he would return the Panorama or he would receive the right to operate the public space used by the guests.

We were with him to help: we gave this area to the company for a symbolic annual fee of 55,000 florins, and Zoltán Dávid promised to keep the place.

A referendum begins against the inclusion of Lake Venice

The civilians who are fighting against the incorporation of the lake shore will not give up the fight against the municipality of Gárdony, majority Fidesz.
