Due to the increasingly serious coronavirus epidemic, the Slovak Ministry of Health shared a video in which anesthesiologist Jakub Vallo shows how to tie patients to a ventilator.
This process was summarized in Hungarian by Parameter. Through the mouth, through the vocal cords, a tube is inserted into the trachea using a laryngeal mirror reminiscent of a beak. Vallo says that it is such a difficult operation that the doctor has to try it 500 times to be able to perform it perfectly while lifting the entire neck. The procedure is also very painful, the patient is anesthetized and must be given enough pain medication. Once the tube is in place, the end is attached to a breathing machine or balloon to bring air into the patient’s lungs.
