Transparent writes that her colleague, Gabriella Horn, was subpoenaed as a witness by the Department of Economic Protection at the Fejér County Police Headquarters. During the hearing, it was revealed that an unknown perpetrator was being prosecuted for the crime of illegal data acquisition, and Horn was then asked about the drone recordings of combat vehicles on the bicske property of Lőrinc Mészáros.
Transparent took pictures of the Bicske farm with a drone released in May this year. The area around Lake Erőmű used to be a popular hiking and fishing spot for the locals, but in 2014 Mészáros bought the area and since then it has not been possible to walk. The newspaper flew a drone over the estate at the time, because Magyar Hang wrote not long before, based on aerial photographs by MP Ákos Hadházy, that there were also combat vehicles in the area isolated from the outside world. The two vehicles could also be seen in the Transparente video: one was a BRDM2-2 amphibious troop transport vehicle, while the other could not be recognized because it was covered with a tarp.
According to the newspaper article, a police officer was curious about the circumstances under which Horn wrote the article and what he believed was its informational value. They were also asked who made the recording of the drone and who authorized it.

The crime of illicit data acquisition can be punished with up to three years in prison, however, according to Transparent’s lawyer, Balázs Tóth, this cannot occur in relation to drone recording, as it does not cover surveillance by secret means and hidden.
“Furthermore, according to a curative decision, observation by technical means means the long-term perception of movement, behavior, verbal manifestations or absence of people by the senses. Finally, the recording was not made with the purpose of knowing private secrets without authorization, but we wanted to make sure that the combat vehicles were actually parked at the residence of Lőrinc Mészáros, who could connect with the political power with a thousand threads. The informational value of this is hard to question, ”writes Transparent.
