The passengers on the plane to Sydney had been waiting three hours for departure on the cement when they asked the women to land. They were then escorted to a female doctor where they had to undress. They also had to remove their underwear to see if they had recently given birth.
The women returning on board seemed very upset by the procedure, some were also crying. With 13 Australians among the passengers screened, Australian authorities have launched an investigation into the matter, Fox News reports. Australian Foreign Secretary Marine Payne called the incident offensive and is awaiting an explanation from Qatar.
