The women were flown on a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Sydney to find the mother of an abandoned baby at an airport. Some cried because they had to undress for the exam.

The humiliating incident occurred on October 2 at the Doha airport, where a premature baby was found in one of the bathrooms. The passengers on the plane to Sydney had been waiting three hours for departure on the cement when they asked the women to land. They were then escorted to a female doctor where they had to undress. They also had to remove their underwear to see if they had recently given birth.

The women returning on board seemed very upset by the procedure, some were also crying. With 13 Australians among the passengers screened, Australian authorities have launched an investigation into the matter, Fox News reports. Australian Foreign Secretary Marine Payne called the incident offensive and is awaiting an explanation from Qatar.
