Two videos have been released showing Azerbaijani soldiers capturing and executing two Armenian men in military uniforms, according to a BBC article.

The first video shows the capture and the second shows the shooting of the two Armenians.

Armenian authorities have identified the two victims, Yuri Adamyan, 25, and Benik Akobyan, 73. However, Azerbaijan has classified the content of the videos as false.

The BBC is convinced that the images are true. According to this, the two videos were shot in Hadrut, a city in the southern part of Nagorno-Karabakh, near Fuzuli, where heavy fighting is taking place.

They were probably recorded sometime between October 9-15. Azerbaijan announced that Hadrut had been occupied on October 9, but it was later learned that although they had gained strategic dominance around the city, fierce fighting for control of the city continued on October 12.

The Council of Europe has ordered an investigation into alleged human rights abuses in the two videos.

On September 27, clashes broke out. The area is internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan, but is de facto under Armenian rule. The fighting quickly turned into a full-scale conflict.

Although a ceasefire was announced on October 10 and 18, the fighting did not stop, and now around 5,000 deaths are known. Tens of thousands of people were forced to flee their homes.
