The government is gradually introducing new precautions to curb the epidemic that, according to official admission, is already spreading virtually uncontrollably across the country. Starting Thursday, a whole range of services and retail will be restricted and a curfew will be established. The use of a mask is mandatory everywhere. Schools have closed and switched to distance education, with cultural and sporting events on hiatus.

One of the main specific objectives of government action is to avoid the collapse of the health system. The Prague field hospital will have 500 beds, while the Brno hospital will be designed for 300 beds.

The Czech government asked the European Union and NATO for help this week to combat the epidemic. As part of this, Hungary will send 150 fans.
