Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. At the moment, the restaurants, which can only prepare takeout, will be closed for two weeks. According to the prime minister, a program of support, among other things, to the hotel industry will be presented shortly. Sanitariums are also closing.

Minors cannot group between 8 am and 4 pm, and can only leave their homes accompanied by adults. Morawiecki has asked non-working people over 70 to stay home, announcing that a program will be launched to support seniors: shopping and medicine.

In Poland, with a population of about 38 million, there have been 13,632 new infections in one day, more than at any time since the outbreak.

153 people died. In one day, the number of people treated for coronavirus infection in hospitals increased by 687 to 10,788, with 851 patients on a ventilator.
