He requested information on the epidemic situation in the XV. Instead of answering, Sara Botond, mayor of the district, explained why she did not answer

Which is not an easy task for anyone who wants meaningful information on the situation of the coronavirus epidemic in Hungary, we experience it on our own skin every day as a journalist. To say the least, in the last month and a half, only two of our questions have been read at the operational tribe’s daily press conference, even wrong, and not even a meaningful answer to a poorly asked question.

The government keeps secrets not only from interested journalists and civilians, but also from local governments. It is a special situation from the beginning that the mayor of a district has to submit a request for data of public interest in order to know the epidemic situation in his district. But it is even more curious that instead of the official department requested, the fallen mayor of Fidesz, Sára Botond, who heads the government office of the capital, should answer, essentially nothing.

Sarah instead of Angéla Németh XV. The district mayor reportedly provided the two pieces of information, but reported that according to legal norms he was obliged to share only during the emergency, so the mayor should go to koronavirus.gov.hu, which is essentially inappropriate for information. This page is even more inadequate for answering such special questions than it is for a cursory orientation. From the outset, spatial data is only shared with those interested in a photo that is exchanged daily, but they are also useless, because they only show aggregate figures since the beginning of the epidemic, and are only broken down by region. In other words, it is not possible to draw any conclusions about the current state of the county epidemic, nor anything about the territorial units smaller than the county.

However, knowing local epidemiological data, local governments could even help, such as caring for those who need to be quarantined and cannot handle their own care.
